well made. but, i still dont get why kelp is a protist and not a plant .-., whats that lack of "complexity" that differ it from plants? All things aside, this explanation of a protist is very well arranged and is executed very marvelously after some reasearching, i think im making my own assumption that kelp is a protist because it is structured by a protist (algae), but idk if this is valid so please do correct me.

As a physician I don´t think it strang that Archea do not cause disease. Their cell membrane contains l-glycerol, where eucaryote cell membranes contain d-glycerol. The chirailty of glycerol requires a complete different set of enzymes. So I think that the similarities that might be there are a result of parallel evolution.
